The Air Force and Army of Turkey (a North Atlantic Treaty Organization ally) bombs PKK guerilla positions inside United states occupied pro-Iranian Iraq. The PKK has been fighting for an independent Kurdistan to be carved out of the adjoining regions of Turkey, the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the semiautonomous Kurdish region of Iraq.
