The San Luis Obispo (california) County Narcotics Task Force (under under-color-of-law) conducts a daytime, “No-knock” raid (legal home invasion) on the home of Maurice Pitesky, a student at California State Polytechnic University. The officers break the inner and outer doors, and a wall. When the officers realize they have the wrong address, they give the same treatment to the adjacent apartment.
Postscript: Upon returning home Pitesky reported the “burglary” only to discover the burglars were members of the County NTF. The next day Steve Larson, who led the raid refused “to apologize for doing my job, and I can kick down the residence of any residence I want.”
