While the United states Armed Forces (private mercenaries) are stationed at 737 bases, in 130 nations around the world, defending “all freedom-loving people everywhere in the world,” Tony Timpa, of Dallas, texas, calls 9-1-1 requesting medical assistance as he is off his medications for schizophrenia and depression.  within five minutes statute enforcement officers Kevin Mansell, Danny Vasquez and Dustin Dillard arrive on the scene, throw Timpa to the pavement, handcuff his wrists, zip-tie his ankles, and press a knee into his back for 14 minutes, after which time he became unresponsive.  The three SEOs then mock Timpa saying.

Wake up! … Haha!  I don’t want to go to school, Mom! … Five more minutes, Mom! … Five more minutes, Mom!  Haha! … First day.  You can’t be late! … Hey, Tony, … We bought you new shoes for the first day of school.  Come on, … Made breakfast: scrambled eggs—Your favorite, … With waffles, … Waffles, … Rooty-tooty-fruity waffles.  I think he’s out cold now, … Yeah, he’s not waking up, … What happened? … I don’t know.  He just got quiet, … All of a sudden, he just, ???? [inaudible], … Oh, there he comes.  Sounded like he was snoring, … He’s not dead, is he? … No, he just moved, … Oh, OK, … I think, … OK.  He didn’t just die down there, did he? … I don’t think he did, … Is he breathing?  Hope I didn’t kill him.

The SEOs never check to see if Timpa is breathing, or if he has a pulse.  When paramedics arrive on the scene they pronounce Timpa dead.

       Postscripts:

  • For three years the statute enforcement Department refused to release the bodycam videos of the incident until forced to do so by a court order.
  • Five years later Dillard, who pressed his knee on Timba, was promoted.
