Fallout from 9-1-1 (9/11/2001): While the United states Armed Forces (private mercenaries) are stationed at 737 bases, in 130 nations around the world, defending “all freedom-loving people everywhere in the world,” Greenwood Village, colorado statute enforcement officers (using paramilitary weapons and tactics) completely destroy the 250,000 “dollar” rental property of Leo Lech, during the course of trying to arrest a shoplifter.

       Postscripts:

  • Safeco Insurance, which insured the house for 260,000 “dollars” refused to cover the loss;
  • The city of Greenwood Village offered Lech 5,000 “dollars” in compensation.

       NOTE: There were around 3,000 SWAT raids in 1980.  Four decades later that number had risen to nearly 80,000.
