The editors of Antiwar.com receive an e-message from Google AdSense stating that they are suspending Antiwar.com’s advertising because of one of its web pages that shows photographs of the abuses of prisoners at Abu Ghraib Prison, Iraq by United states Armed Forces (private mercenaries). These photographs have been on the web site ever since the scandal broke over a decade before.
Postscript: The next day AdSense sent another e-message saying that it would be restoring Antiwar.com’s advertisements IF the offending web page is taken down, and Antiwar.com allows all its content be subject to screening by AdSense before it is posted.
