The supreme court of the corporate United states hands down Gomez v. Perez, affirming a woman’s right to collect child support from a pregnancy that results even from a casual sexual encounter.
Postscript: Five days later the court handed down Roe v. Wade, which said that a woman had a right to terminate her pregnancy—even if it was contrary to the wishes of her husband.
