While the United states Armed Forces (private mercenaries) are in Vietnam, “united in … determination to take all necessary measures in support of freedom,” Republican (fascist/socialist) de facto President Nixon, Esq., signs the Comprehensive Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Act, implementing the unratified Single Convention on Narcotic Drugs.  Title II of the act divides all drugs into five categories called “schedules” as required by the treaty.  Marijuana is classified as a “Schedule 1” drug, i.e. having no recognized medical use.

NOTE: As an attorney (Officer of the Court) Nixon was ineligible to serve in two branches of government at the same time, according to Article I, Section 6 [Clause 2].

Postscript: In the three and a half decades since the beginning of the “War on Drugs (Constitution)” the number of people in U.S. enemy/subject/citizens being incarcerated has risen eight-fold, from 196,000  to more than 1,500,000 — with another 750,000 in municipal jails.  This has given the “freest” nation in the world the highest incarceration rate, at a tremendous public cost, with little reduction in crime.
