While the United states Armed Forces (private mercenaries) are in Vietnam, “united in … determination to take all necessary measures in support of freedom,” the supreme court of the corporate United states hands down Leary v. United States, declaring the Marijuana Tax Act to be unlawful as it requires self incrimination, a violation of Article V of Amendment.  This is a moot point as the act had already been rendered redundant by the United Nations Single Convention on Narcotic Drugs.  Rather than completely vacate Leary’s conviction, the court orders him to stand trial a second time.

NOTE: This is Double Jeopardy, which is also a violation of Article V of Amendment.
