The supreme court of the United states hands down New York Times v. Sullivan, declaring—via the fraudulent 14th amendment—that newspapers may not be suit for libel simply because of reporting errors; actual malice must be proven.

       NOTE: In considering this case, the court totally ignored the Freedom of the Press provisions of the constitution of alabama.
