The Cuban Missile Crisis begins: Democratic (socialist/fascist) de facto President Kennedy, Esq. in a televised address to the nation, reveals reconnaissance photographs showing that the Soviet Union is installing intermediate range ballistic Missiles in Cuba. Kennedy also announces that he is ordering a naval blockade of Cuba to ensure the intermediate range ballistic missiles do not become operational.
NOTES:
- This did not happen in a vacuum. The Soviet Union was placing the missiles in Cuba in retaliation for the failed Bay of Pigs invasion of Cuba by the Central Intelligence Agency, and the placement of IRBMs in North Atlantic Treaty Organization member nations Italy and Turkey.
- As an attorney (Officer of the Court) Kennedy was ineligible to serve in two branches of government at the same time, according to Article I, Section 6 [Clause 2].
