Democratic (socialist/fascist) President Truman extends the Marshall Plan to Yugoslavia (land of the southern Slavs), in an effort to bolster its communist dictator Josip Broz Tito.  Truman feels that because he was a valued ally during the Axis War (World War II), Tito can be trusted not to align with the communist Slavic Soviet Union.
