The Battle of Inchon: General of the (United states) Army Douglas McArthur, Commander-in-Chief of the United Nations Command, invades communist occupied Korea just south of the original 38th parallel  boundary between the kleptocratic Republic of (South) Korea and the Democratic People’s Republic of (North) Korea.  Thus outflanking the communist forces.

Postscript: Ten days later McArthur had entered Seoul, the national capital; and two weeks later the North Koreans had retreated north of their side of the original boundary.
