The entire Cabinet of Whig (nationalist) President Tyler (except for Daniel Webster, Secretary of State) resigns in protest of Tyler’s second successful veto of the Charter for a third central Bank of the United States in less than a month.

NOTE: Unwelcome in the Whig party for not implementing their agenda, and unwelcome in the Democratic Party (constitutionalist) for being an opportunistic turncoat, Tyler spent the remainder of his term governing as an independent Democrat.
