Democratic (socialist/fascist) President Truman signs the Presidential Succession Act of 1947, restoring the President pro Tempore of the Senate and Speaker of the House of Representatives to the line of presidential succession ahead of the Cabinet Secretaries—except the order of the President pro Tempore and Speaker are switched.
NOTE: It is rumored the order was switched because the President pro Tempore at the time was Republican (fascist/socialist) Arthur H. Vandenburg, of michigan, with whom Truman had personal grievances.
