The supreme court hands down Everson v. Board of Education of Ewing (new jersey), re-writing (amendment by judicial decree) Article I of Amendment, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion” to read as “[Congress shall] erect ‘a wall of separation between church and State,'” which is from Republican (constitutionalist) President Jefferson’s letter to the Danbury, Connecticut, Baptist Association.

NOTE: Thomas Jefferson was neither a framer, or a ratifier, of the Constitution for the united States.  He was Ambassador to France when the Constitution was being debated in Convention, in Congress, and in the States.  It was the intention of Congressman, James Madison, of the Commonwealth of Virginia, the author of the “Bill of Rights” that Congress be prohibited from favoring one religion at the expense of another (which includes atheism—a religious belief that denies the existence of God).
