While the army and navy of the United states are in Africa, Europe and the Pacific, fighting “for a world in which this [n]ation, and all that this [n]ation represents, will be safe for our children,” the supreme court of the corporate United states hands down Korematsu v. United states, upholding the incarceration of U.s. subject/enemy/citizens—and the denial of due process—based simply upon their Japanese ancestry.
