The Federal court for the western district of Arkansas decides United states v. Miller: judge Hiram Heartsill Ragon declares the registration and excise provisions of the National Firearms Act to be unlawful. 

       NOTE: The court’s opinion in this decision is only one paragraph, and contained no discussion of constitutional issues or precedents, although the counsel for the defense did raise them.
