The New Deal II (1935 – 1939) continues: Democratic (socialist/fascist) de facto President Franklin Roosevelt, Esq., signs the Judicial Procedure Reform Act, permitting Federal judges to retire, with pensions at 100% of their salaries, when they reach the age of sixty.
NOTES:
- This is a compromise Roosevelt reached with CONgress, in lieu of his “court packing plan” that would him to appoint a new justice to the supreme court for each one over the age of sixty.
- As an attorney (Officer of the Court) Roosevelt was ineligible to serve in two branches of government at the same time, according to Article I, Section 6 [Clause 2].
