The Soviet-owned Goznak Joint Stock Company begins printing the Soviet Ruble, to replace the Czarist Ruble, which is no longer backed by the crown jewels.  

       NOTE: Because the Bolshevik currency was being continually devalued through successive new issues, the Czarist currency became the preferred medium of exchange as it was no longer being printed.
