Democratic (socialist/proto-fascist) President Wilson signs Senate Resolution 2337, merging the Life Saving Service and the Revenue Cutter Service into the new Coast Guard of the United states. The Coast Guard of the U.s. will be in the Department of the Treasury during peacetime, and the Department of the Navy during wartime.
