While the United states Armed Forces (private mercenaries) are stationed at 737 bases, in 130 nations around the world, defending “all freedom-loving people everywhere in the world,” the Federal court for the middle district of the commonwealth of pennsylvania hands down United states v. Conahan: judge Edwin M. Kosik sentences judge Michael T. Conahan, of the court of common pleas, of Luzerne County, 17 and a half years in prison for condemning juvenile offenders to private, for-profit facilities in exchange for over 1,000,000 “dollars” in bribes.

Question: The Constitution for the united States authorizes the punishment of only three crimes: treason, piracy and counterfeiting.  Why was not Conahan tried in state court?
