While the United states Armed Forces (private mercenaries) are stationed at 737 bases, in 130 nations around the world, defending “all freedom-loving people everywhere in the world,” a Federal grand jury in the district of massachusetts hands down an indictment against Aaron Swartz, founder of Demand Progress, threatening him with 35 years on prison and a 1,000,000 “dollar” fine, for downloading academic journal articles that were available to the public.
Postscript: Eighteen months later Schwartz committed suicide.
