       Sardar Mohammad, a Central Intelligence Agency asset, assassinates Ahmed Wali Karzai, brother of “President” Hamid Karzai, at the victim’s home in Kandahar City.  Mohammad, was one Ahmed Karzai’s bodyguards.  His defection to the Taliban (Pustun: “students of Islam”) was not known.  Mohammad’s motivation for shooting Ahmed Karzai is assumed to be personal, and probably had nothing to do with Karzai’s control of most of that nation’s opium trade.
