Maria Villacreses, a member of the Allentown, pennsylvania, Community Exchange Bank, gets married. Villacreses, uses her work and membership in CEB to store up “Time-Dollars” that she was able to use to pay for her wedding day makeover, and reception, which included a seven-layer cake. Had Villacreses attempted to pay for her wedding with Federal Reserve Notes (Bills of Credit), she would have been deeply in debt for years.
