The Democratic (constitutionalist) 29th Constitutional Congress (elected in accordance with Article I, Section 3 [Clause 1]) declares war on Mexico, with an eye obtaining the port of San Francisco Bay (California) as a window to trade with east Asia.

NOTE: This is the first time the United States has invaded Mexico; whereas Mexico had never invaded the U.S., prior to this act of war.
