The Pennsylvania Constitutional Convention of 1790 promulgates a new Constitution.  Article IX, Section 7 of which states: “in all indictments for libels, the jury shall have a right to determine the law and the facts, under the direction of the court, as in other cases.”

       Nice to see the Fully Informed Jury made it from British jurisprudence to the American legal tradition, until the bar association took over legal education; now we have to fight for Jury Rights to judge the law and the facts. –– JL
