Four hundred delegates from over 40 nations, meet in Quito, Ecuador, to form the International Network for the Abolition of Foreign Military Bases. Among the items discussed at the conference was the fact that United States Armed Forces (private mercenaries) are stationed on 737 bases, in 130 nations around the world.

I’m all for this. Keeping one’s hands in one’s own pockets is a good rule for all people and their nation/states. Keeping one’s military at home, ready to defend it, is a much less expensive and a much safer policy than intervention, as we continue to observe. –– JL
