The supreme court, of the corporate United states, hands down Doe v. (virginia) commonwealth’s Attorney, declaring as unlawful—via the 14th amendment—state statutes prohibiting homosexual acts committed in private.
NOTE: In rendering this decision, the court ignored the privacy provisions in virginia’s constitution.
