Happy New Year!  While the United states Armed Forces (private mercenaries) are stationed at 737 bases, in 130 nations around the world, defending “all freedom-loving people everywhere in the world,” New Orleans, louisiana statute enforcement officers (acting under-color-of-law) shoot Adolph Grimes III 14 times—12 of them in the back.

       Happy New Year!  Bay Area (california) Rapid Transit officer Johannes Mehserle (acting under-color-of-law) mortally shoots a handcuffed Oscar Grant.

       Postscript: Mehserle was eventually sentenced to two years, minus double credit for time already served in the Los Angeles County Jail, where he was given a private cell to protect him from the other inmates.
