“President” Hamid Karzai, of Afghanistan (de facto Mayor of Kabul), at a joint press conference demands of Jakob Gijsbert “Jaap” de Hoop Scheffer, Secretary General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, to know,

       How long will this war go?  Afghanistan can’t continue to suffer a war without end.  We have no other choice, we have no power to stop the planes.  I wish I could intercept the planes that are going to bomb Afghan villages, but that’s not in my hands.
