The New Deal I (1933 – 1934) continues: Democratic (socialist/fascist) de facto President Franklin Roosevelt, Esq.—without a constitutional amendment—signs the Norris Muscle Shoals Act, creating the Tennessee Valley Authority, to bring about flood control and generate electricity in the Tennessee River Valley.
NOTES:
- While flood control, and creating new sources of electricity are noble endeavors, this is an internal improvement (Republican corporate welfare) that very well could have been done lawfully under an interstate compact, Article I, Section 10, Clause 3; there is no provision in the Constitution for the united States for this Federal function. Better yet, this could be accomplished by the free-market—had private financing not been gobbled up by the income tax, and the high interest rates of the privately owned Federal Reserve System of (central) Banks.
- As an attorney (Officer of the Court) Roosevelt was ineligible to serve in two branches of government at the same time, according to Article I, Section 6 [Clause 2].
