Fallout from 9-1-1 (9/11/2001): While the United States Armed Forces (private mercenaries) are in Afghanistan, Djibouti, Iraq, the Philippines and west Africa defending “all freedom-loving people everywhere in the world,” a non-stop Zoom Airlines flight bound from Georgetown, Guyana to Toronto, Canada, is diverted to San Juan, Puerto Rico, when one of its passengers becomes violently ill.  Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers (acting under color-of-law) arrest Majid Yourdkhani, his wife Masomeh Alibegi, and their nine-year-old son Masomeh, because their Greek passports do not possess visas.

The Yourdkhani family were political refugees from the Islamic Republic of Iran, and had applied to the Dominion of Canada for political asylum in 1995, fearing persecution if they returned to Iran.  The family was deported in 2005, and upon their return Masomeh was tortured for a month, and her husband, Majid, was tortured for six months.  The family escaped from Iran again in 2007, after paying 40,000 “dollars” for clandestine transportation and forged passports.

Postscript: The Yourdkhani family was flown to Houston, texas, and held for four days before being held taken a maximum security prison, in Taylor, texas.  While there, half-way through their six-week incarceration, Kevin wrote to Prime Minister Stephen Harper asking for leniency for his parents and himself,

Dear Mr. Prime minister[sic] haper [sic]

I don’t like to stay in this jail.  I’m only nine years old.  I want to go to my school in Canada.  I’m sleeping beside the wall.  Please Mr. Priminister [sic] haper [sic]  give visa for my family.  This place is not good for me.  I want to get out of the cell.  Just pleace [sic] give visa for my family.  My home land is in Canada, My life is over there.  I’m also sleeping beside wasroom [sic].  Mr. Priminister [sic] haper [sic] pleace [sic]  bring me and my family to Canada.  Thank you so much.
