George III (r. 1760 – 1776, in the colonies; died 1820) lends his assent to the last of the four Intolerable Acts: The Quartering Act requires Boston, Massachusetts colonists to house British Soldiers in their homes, as sufficient barracks are not available given the large influx of troops enforcing martial law.
NOTE: This is seen as a serious breach of the Right to Privacy, as each Soldier will report to his superiors any wrongdoing by their reluctant hosts.
