The Parliament of the Dominion of Canada approves a non-binding resolution urging Prime Minister Stephen Harper to grant political asylum to conscientious objectors, war resisters, deserters and Constitutional Defenders from the United states Armed Forces (private mercenaries), “who have refused or left military service related to a war not sanctioned by the United Nations.”
