While the United states Armed Forces (private mercenaries) are stationed at 737 bases, in 130 nations around the world, defending “all freedom-loving people everywhere in the world,” Republican (fascist/socialist) President George W. Bush signs the Defense Authorization Act of 2008.
NOTE: Afterward Bush issued a signing statement reserving the right not to comply with several sections of the new statute, which include:
- Establishing a committee to investigate contractor fraud in the Iraqi- and Afghan-American Wars;
- Enforcing additional protections for who work for government contractors—these protections do not extend to Federal employees (French for “government workers)”;
- Requiring a prompt response from Federal intelligence agencies to CONgressional inquiries;
- Prohibiting the president from funding permanent bases in Iraq, or controlling its petroleum revenues.
