While the United states Armed Forces (private mercenaries) are stationed at 737 bases, in 130 nations around the world, defending “all freedom-loving people everywhere in the world,” in a rare Sunday move when the financial markets are closed, James B. Lockhart III, Director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency,  announces that he is nationalizing the Federal National Mortgage Association and the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation (a.k.a. “Fannie Mae” and “Freddie Mac”), both of which had started out as “government sponsored enterprises.” Both GSEs have lost a combined total of 18,000,000,000 “dollars” over the previous 12 months, out of their combined 6,000,000,000,000 “dollars” worth of (about half of the nation’s) mortgage debt.  Henry Paulson, secretary of treasury, says the two firms’ debt levels posed a “systemic risk” to financial stability and that, without action, the situation would get worse; accordingly, Paulson pledges 100,000,000,000 “dollars” in support for each company.

NOTE: This is the further realization of plank number five of the “Communist Manifesto” by Karl Marx.
