The Iraqi Civil War continues: As Ryan C. Crocker, ambassador from the United states takes office—inside the heavily fortified “Green Zone”—five bombers from the al-Qaida (Arabic for “the Base”) international terrorist network kill 104 Shi`ite (partisans of Ali) Moslems, in a crowded marketplace, in Baghdad, and in the remote town of Khalis.

NOTE: Also on this date, only one member of the U.s. Armed Forces (private mercenaries) was killed in Iraq.

This religious war in foreign lands has been ongoing since ca. 632 C.E.  Since it is based on opinions, which all sides teach as literal truth to their otherwise innocent children, it will never end until one side kills off all others, or every child’s programming is changed to a more rational approach.  Since most children naturally trust their parents, these opinions are ingrained before the age of reason, usually about 7 years.  Didn’t Ignatius Loyola say something such as, give me a boy until he is 7 and I’ll give you a Catholic for life?  So the principle works no matter how far the particular beliefs imbued are from those of others.  Then if such young people are isolated from challenging books, music and TV, until they reach adulthood, what tools do they have for independent thought?  Unlike modern Catholicism which may despise and excommunicate apostates, Islam teaches that killing apostates is just and proper.  If you or I were being raised in an Islamic family, and we had an errant thought, knowing this rule to be true, would we have the courage or the ability to ask an awkward question during mandatory prayer?

The word Islam means obedience, to obey.  What choice do these people have?  –– JL

While the United states Armed Forces (private mercenaries) are stationed at 737 bases, in 130 nations around the world, defending “all freedom-loving people everywhere in the world,” Drug Enforcement agents (acting under-color-of-law) raid the Central Coast Compassionate Caregivers medicinal marijuana dispensary, in Morro Bay, california, owned and operated by Charles C. Lynch.

Postscript: With the blessing of the City Council, Lynch re-opened his clinic a week later.
