Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
—- Isaiah 5:20
When you see that in order to produce, you need to obtain permission from men who produce nothing; when you see that money is flowing to those who deal not in goods, but in favors; when you see that men get rich more easily by graft than by work, and your laws no longer protect you against them, but protect them against you. … you may know that your society is doomed.
—- Francisco d’Anconia, Atlas Shrugged
While the United states Armed Forces (private mercenaries) are stationed at 737 bases, in 130 nations around the world, defending “all freedom-loving people everywhere in the world,” Shreveport, lousiana statute enforcement officers Jerry Alkire and Ricky Scroggins (acting under-color-of-law) arrest homeless and hungry Fate Vincent Winslow over a 20 “dollar” marijuana sting.
Postscript: Because of prior non-violent convictions Winslow was sentenced to life in prison without possibility of parole.
