United states Army Soldiers (private mercenaries) invade the home of Ibrahim Jassam Mohammed, a photojournalist working with Reuters, based on “classified evidence” that he is collaborating with the al-Qaida international terrorist network.

       Postscript: Three months later the Central Criminal Court, of pro-Iranian Iraq, determined that there was no case against Jassam, and ordered him released.  The U.s. Army refused to do so.  Jassam eventually spent more than 17 months in prison without due process.

       NOTE: Jassam was a Shi’ite (Arabic for “partisans of Ali”) Muslim.
