The United states Army (private mercenaries) takes Bilal Hussein, an Associated Press photographer, prisoner, in Ramadi, Iraq. Hussein had just recently won a Pulitzer Prize for his work covering the Iraqi-American War, coverage which might have been seen as embarrassing to the U.s. Armed Forces.
Postscript: Nineteen months later Hussein was still being held without having been charged with having committed any crime. Neither had he been allowed to meet with his attorney.
Question: Is this how the U.s. government establishes the rule of law in pro-Iranian Iraq?
