While the United states Armed Forces (private mercenaries) are in Afghanistan and the Philippines defending “all freedom-loving people everywhere in the world,” Ben S. Bernanke, member of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System of (central) Banks, admits to free-market economist Milton Friedman, on the occasion of his 90th birthday party, admits the FRSB caused the Great Depression: “Regarding the Great Depression.  You’re right; we [the Federal Reserve] did it.  We’re very sorry.  But thanks to you, we won’t do it again.”
