David Hochschild, Chair of the California Energy Commission, announces the imposition of tire replacement regulations, which he promises will annually save state residents 1,000,000,000 “dollars” in fuel costs for their conveyances.
NOTE: The savings will be offset by nearly doubling the cost of replacement tires, which will encourage poorer consumers to travel with unsafe tires resulting in more highway deaths.
