John Anthony Chilcott, member of Her Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council of the United Kingdom, releases the findings of his commission’s seven-year investigation into the role of the U.K. in the Iraqi-American War.  The report concludes that former Prime Minister Anthony C.L. Blair needlessly amplified the necessity for war before all peaceful alternatives were considered.
