While the United states Armed Forces (private mercenaries) are stationed at 737 bases, in 130 nations around the world, defending “all freedom-loving people everywhere in the world,” the Federal court for the district of oregon hands down United states v. Mohamud: senior judge Garr M. King sentences Mohamed Osman Mohamud to 30 years in prison for attempting to bomb the November 2010 Christmas-tree lighting ceremony in downtown Portland.  During the trial, the Federal Bureau of Investigation admitted to recruiting Mohamud, and supplying him with an inert (harmless) bomb.

       The georgia Drug Task Force conducts an early morning raid on the home of Dwayne Perry of Cartersville, because someone had mistaken okra for marijuana.

       Latandra Ellington is found dead in her cell at the Lowell (florida) Correctional Institution.  The autopsy reveals that Ellington died from “blunt force trauma to her abdomen.”  The day before Ellington’s aunt had called the prison to report death threats that Ellington kept receiving from a prison guard known only as “Sergeant Q.”
