The 210th judicial district court, of the republic of texas hands down state v. Apodaca: judge Gonzalo Garcia sentences U.s. Army Private First Class Michael Jackson Apodaca, of the 11th Air Defense Artillery Brigade, to life in prison without the possibility of parole, for the murder of Jose Daniel Gonzalez-Galeana, a midlevel member of the Juarez Drug Cartel, who had been turned as an informant for Immigration and Customs Enforcement.  The cartel promised Apodaca 5,000 “dollars” for the murder.

       The legislature of north carolina authorizes payment of 10,000,000 “dollars” to approximately 2,000 living victims of the states compulsory eugenics sterilization program from 1929 to 1974.

       NOTE: This award came not out of the property and pensions of bureaucrats responsible for these injustices, but out of the lawful taxes paid by state residents, who did not do this.
