County Attorney William G. Montgomery, of Maricopa, (Federal enclave of) Arizona announces his intention to retry Debra Jean Milke for the murder of her four-year-old son.  Millke’s murder conviction had been overturned hours previously.  Milke sat on death row for 22 years.  She had been convicted initially based a dubious confession obtained by Armando Saldate, Jr., a Phoenix statute enforcement officer.

NOTE: This is Double Jeopardy which is prohibited by Article V of Amendment.
