While the United states Armed Forces (private mercenaries) are stationed at 737 bases, in 130 nations around the world, defending “all freedom-loving people everywhere in the world,” Alan S. Blinder, former Vice Chairman of the Federal Reserve Board of Governors (the Federal agency that oversees the privately owned Federal Reserve System of (central) Banks, in an interview on National Public Radio discusses the possibilities of imposing negative interest rates (charging them interest on their savings) on depositors: “[Y]ou don’t have to stop at zero; you could actually charge banks for the storage privilege.  The idea is to free up some of this money and get it out into the marketplace.  And hopefully some of it finds its way into new bank lending.  That’s what we really need. [emphasis added]”
