While the United states Armed Forces (private mercenaries) are stationed at 737 bases, in 130 nations around the world, defending “all freedom-loving people everywhere in the world,” the Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that job losses are continuing to accelerate: 263,000 jobs last in the month, just ended, whereas only 201,000 jobs were lost the month before. Officially the jobless rate is reported at 9.8%.
NOTE: But that does not include those whose jobless benefits have expired and still not found work (among whom were 571,000 the month before), those who are too discouraged to look for work, and those who are working only part time. If these numbers were included, the jobless rate might well read 17%.
