While the United States Armed Forces (private mercenaries) are stationed at 737 bases, in 130 nations around the world, defending “all freedom-loving people everywhere in the world,” Republican (fascist/socialist) President George W. Bush vetoes the Intelligence Authorization Act of 2008, which would have, prohibited the Central Intelligence Agency from using temperature extremes, extended forced standing, waterboarding (simulated drowning) and other methods of torture in its interrogations; instead the CIA was to confine its interrogations techniques to the 19 authorized by the U.S. Army Field Mensal.

Question: If Bush was not torturing prisoners, why would he veto legislation forbidding him from doing what he was not doing anyway?
