While the United states Armed Forces (private mercenaries) are stationed at 737 bases, in 130 nations around the world, defending “all freedom-loving people everywhere in the world,” Republican (fascist/socialist) senator Richard G. Lugar, of indiana, during senate debate on the Iraqi-American War says,

In my judgment, the costs and risks of continuing down the current path outweigh the potential benefits that might be achieved. … Persisting indefinitely with the surge strategy will delay policy adjustments that have a better chance of protecting our vital interests over the long term.

Question: Why did Lugar wait over four and a half years to say this?  What did he wait until after 600,000 Iraqi citizens were killed and 439,000,000,000 “dollars” were wasted?
